The appearance is pleasing, but construction revealed the bookends were fabricated not on a 90-degree angle, producing small gaps. The most disappointing feature is that the bookends are not heavy enough to support most books other than paperbacks. I would not buy them again.

I purchased these bookends to use on bookcases in our familyroom. They are a nice addition to display a group of books decoratively. With the economy being what it is, I wish they were made in the U.S.A instead of China.
