The bookends are attractive and appear of quality material. However, the internet ad indicated a weight of 10 pounds and the shipping list showed a weight of six pounds. We wanted the ten pounds for holding books more secure on a table. Will have to see how they work with the weight being only six pounds.

This gift is to celebrate our grandson's Scout Eagle Award. The award is a major achievement. I wanted something he could use and keep for years. These are very handsome bookends. I plan to apply two engraved plates: one with his name & troop number and one with the award name & date. These bookends made of beautifully finished burled rosewood and bronze(not resin).
