        As a design engineer I have many reference books I must corral somehow. I just received two pairs of these and am quite happy with my purchase. Most important to me was suitability for purpose, followed by looks. They have sufficient mass to contain a large number of books and they look very nice. I am very satisfied with my choice! The quality was very good and the look is elegant simplicity. I almost never write product feedback. However, on rare occasions when I am particularly pleased with something I feel compelled to let the seller (and others) know that I am very happy with my purchase. I nearly fainted when my wife dropped the box before I opened it. No worries as it was packed with appropriate safeguards. Thanks for that, too. (This was an unsolicited review ... my way of saying thanks for honesty in advertising.)

          I am very pleased with these bookends. I looked at hundreds before choosing these, and found too many whimsical bookends out there for my taste. I love the tasteful,classic design of these, and I am giving these to my adult son for Christmas. I don't think he or anyone will tire of them--they have heirloom qualities.
