I have a library of about 2,000 books. I've always wanted some proper bookends. These really fit the bill. They're heavy enough at about 5 pounds a piece to hold a pretty good line of books. For a really heavy stand of books you can use two bookends together. Because of the rectangular shape a full column as opposed to a half column at the end of the books looks just a good. I bought several sets of all four colors on offer. They are all nice.
