Many times when you order something online, it turns out nothing like it looked or sounded in the description. That was not the case with these book ends. They were beautifully constructed and exactly what I thought they were going to be.

Ask a book end, it is not heavy enough. Also, the base slides. I suggest you add lead and also change the base cover to cork or some other material that is not so smooth.

I have bought a couple of very nice bookends from this website and they have been great and looked classy and expensive. This one is just a big disappointment. The thinker looked cheaply done and finished, lacking in detail and texture. it also felt hollow when weighed. I think there are a whole lot of better options. It is too bad because I really like the original concept. Hopefully they will come up with a better made replica of the thinker.

I was looking for a really high quality bookend and for a [$]I figured this must be a great set of bookends. The pictures make them look great. Unfortunately, the real bookends do not look half as nice as the picture. First off, they are far too light. I thought that these would be solid brass but they are certainly not. Second, the look that they have of being slightly worn looks tacky in real life. In the photo it looks like the color has worn over years of use (a cool effect but not very genuine when artificially added on -- I'd prefer a new looking set that would last my lifetime and show it's years of wear after years of use, something that would only happen if it were of a high enough quality to deserve such extended use) but this factory generated effect looks more like the wrong color paint was splattered on the bookends than like they had really been worn down. Last, the actual bookends look a little thinner than they appear in the picture, which I think makes them look a little awkward dimensionally. Overall, I would say these are definitely not worth the price.
